A lot of people tend to ask me what color I have on my nails, and my answer is almost always the same. Nail polish is one of those areas of life where I know what I like and I stick to it. If it ain’t broke…

As far as manicures go, I oftentimes get gel and I always use OPI – it just sticks to my nails better than any other formula.

OPI’s Mod About You Pastel

My #1 tried-and-true ride-or-die is OPI’s Mod About You Pastel (there’s also a regular, non-pastel Mod About You – it’s different!). The pastel version is a pinkish white and it looks great on any skin tone. It’s feminine yet understated, neutral, clean looking, and just my very, very favorite.

OPI’s Put it in Neutral

Here are a few of my other favorite gel colors:

OPI
OPI Alpine Snow (white, white, white)
OPI I Cannoli Wear OPI (grey)
OPI Put it in Neutral (true, sheer nude)
OPI Put it in Neutral (blueish toned red)

Essie’s Island Hopping

Non-Gel:

Sally Hansen
Mauve Mantra (pinkish white, part of their Complete Manicure line)
Mauve Mantra (pinkish purple with some gold shine to it, part of their Argan Oil Color Therapy line which I’m a big fan of)

Essie
Ballet Slippers (pre-Mod About You Pastel, Ballet Slippers was my go-to)
Island Hopping (laid back, semi-muted purple)
Mochacino (purplish grey with some metallic in it)

A few other random nail polish-related things I love:

Sally Hansen Insta-Dri (my favorite top coat – quick and adds a lot of shine)
ZOYA Remove+ (the best polish remover out there, if you ask me)

My mom is allergic to most nail polish but she’s had great luck with Zoya. Their website says they are big 10 free – aka they don’t use a lot of the scary chemicals that other nail polishes use (hallelujah!). We are always on the lookout for good Zoya colors, but it can be hard to tell online. Anyone have any top Zoya shade picks?

Maybe I should try something new. Any suggestions?
